The Heer's Story

In the fall of 1955, Clarence Heer opened Heer's Paint Service at 677 Belmont Blvd. W. in Kitchener. Fueled by Clarence's dedication to quality products and customer service, the business soon enjoyed a growing & loyal customer base.
Originally a paint and wallpaper store, soon Heer's Paint Service began offering an expanded range of products. So much, in fact, that in 1967, the Belmont location grew into a full 2,000-square-foot showroom and an additional 2,500 square feet of warehouse and office space.
The 1970s also meant a new tact for Heer's with the opening of a dedicated commercial facility located at 330 Gage St. , Kitchener. This location was the first of its kind in the area and developed to specifically service painting contractors, commercial and industrial clients. Heer's also continued to grow it's retail business as well, opening another full service Decorating center at 245 Edinburgh Road, in Guelph.
The business continued to grow in the 1980s and 1990s and that meant further expansion and enhancement of Heer's Services and product offerings. In the late 90's they added an additional decorating centre at 1120 Victoria St. in Kitchener and in 2001, another decorating centre at 583 King St. N., in Waterloo. Most recently in, December 2005, a second location was opened at 221 Woodlawn Road, in Guelph, to meet the demands of the growing demographic in North Guelph.

Heer's subscribes to an ongoing emphasis on quality and service. We believe the service we provide, the understanding of the business our employees have, the dedication of our long-term staff and the quality of product we offer are the things that are going to ensure we maintain customer base.
